Bill 750 grams of kaju katli the right way
Set an item to be sold by kg or litre. At the counter type the weight or tap a quick weight, and the bill is the weight times the price per kg.
- Items sold by piece, kg or litre
- Type the weight on the bill line
- Quick weights: 250 g, 500 g, 750 g, 1 kg
- Quantities with 3 decimals on bills and stock
Each item has its own unit. Piece items stay whole numbers, kg and litre items take 0.750.
Add the item and type the weight on its line. 0.750 is 750 g, and the amount follows the weight.
One tap on the line for 250 g, 500 g, 750 g or 1 kg when that is what the customer asks for.
Recipes and stock use the same decimal quantity, so what you sell comes off the stock correctly.
Why a normal POS fails for sweets and loose items
Many billing tools only know whole quantities. A sweet shop that sells 0.5 kg of jalebi has to invent a "500 g" item and loses the real weight.
With items sold by kg or litre the bill, the reports and the stock all use the real quantity, so the numbers match what left the shop.
