Every order reaches the right kitchen. Instantly.
Save an order and its KOT goes straight to the kitchen screen or printer. Cooks move it from Pending to Preparing to Ready, and the counter sees it happen.
- One screen or printer per kitchen: main, tandoor, bar
- Pending, Preparing, Ready and Cancelled at a glance
- A sound on every new order
- Cancel with a reason, kept in the KOT report
Pending2
1 × Paneer Tikka
Preparing2
Less spicy
Ready1
2 × Samosa
Assign each dish to a kitchen. The tandoor sees only tandoor items, the bar only drinks.
Print KOTs on your thermal printer instead of, or as well as, the screen.
Add-ons, variations and notes like "less spicy" appear on the KOT exactly as ordered.
See every KOT by day, kitchen and status, with cancelled ones and their reasons.
What is a KOT?
A KOT (kitchen order ticket) is the slip that tells the kitchen what to cook for an order: the dishes, how many, the table or order type, and any special instructions. In many restaurants it is still written by hand or shouted across the counter, which is where wrong and forgotten dishes come from.
With AppZet the KOT is made from the order itself. Nothing is written twice, the kitchen gets exactly what the waiter entered, and every cancellation is recorded with a reason.
How it works
-
1
Add your kitchens
Create a kitchen for each station, like Main, Tandoor or Bar.
-
2
Assign dishes
Pick which dishes each kitchen makes.
-
3
Take the order
Save the order on the POS or a waiter's phone. KOTs go out on their own.
-
4
Cook and serve
The kitchen marks each KOT Preparing, then Ready, and the counter serves it.
Common questions
Can I use printed KOTs only?
Yes. You can print KOTs on a thermal printer and skip the screen.
What happens when an order is cancelled?
The KOT moves to Cancelled with the reason you pick, and it shows in the KOT report.
Can one order go to two kitchens?
Yes. Each kitchen gets only the dishes assigned to it.
